If there’s one thing people can count on when they head to their neighborhood shopping center, it’s finding everything they need in one place. A grocery store, restaurant, gym, coffee shop, and these days, one of our local dental offices.
Over the last few years, there’s been an increase in dental offices opening in conveniently located shopping centers across the country. It’s a key part of PDS Health’s strategy to make oral health easier to get than ever before. We don’t want anyone to delay care because it’s hard to find.
Our focus on convenient, easy-to-access dental offices was featured in the Los Angeles Times, where PDS Health leaders outlined our strategy to open more offices alongside grocery stores and big box retailers. The goal is to make dental care easier to access than ever before. PDS Health’s vice president of real estate, Chris Aguon, spoke with the LA Times about our growing presence in shopping centers.
“We found that women in households tend to make most of the healthcare decisions for the house,” Chris said. “If they notice that the dentist is conveniently located in that same center, they’ll tend to give us a try.”
Busy moms running to get groceries or other items can swing by an office right next door for a cleaning or get to us quickly to fix an emergency cracked crown. It’s an increasingly valuable and important aspect that we find patients appreciate. Furthermore, we find that the staff of our dental offices become far more connected with the community when they are located in the midst of it, ultimately strengthening our connection with our patients.
The LA Times also highlighted PDS Health’s recruitment strategy, targeting new graduates just out of dental school, those looking to make a career switch, or mid-career professionals looking for a place to grow. We’re always in search of people who want to become a part of our expansion across the country. Our clinicians have the ability to focus on delivering quality care while working alongside other like-minded professionals who are passionate about making a real difference.
PDS Health is proud to offer team members the opportunity to grow in a collaborative setting with state-of-the-art facilities equipped with advanced, proven technology, including digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and integrated health records that include dental and medical health histories. This allows us to provide preventive care that helps patients maintain optimal health.
The location of our offices makes it easier than ever to encourage patients to make appointments, maintain check-ups, or address serious issues before they get worse. Many people make appointments before or after shopping and appreciate the ease of taking care of their oral health at an office that is convenient for them. This makes preventive and proactive care easier to achieve.
