At PDS Health, we believe in putting patients first, a philosophy that extends beyond the workplace and into the lives of our team members and their families. Donna Sollecito, a Regional Front Office Trainer in South Florida, recently experienced firsthand the incredible dedication of our team when her son faced an unexpected and traumatic accident.
One evening, Donna’s youngest son was playing with his friends when he had his first experience riding an electric bike. Unfortunately, the fun turned into misfortune when he lost control of the bike and fell. He was left with two severely cracked front teeth and a significant loss of tooth structure.
As any mother would, Donna panicked, not only out of concern for her child’s well-being but also because of his immediate distress. The first thing he said through his tears was: “Mom, I can’t go to school tomorrow looking like this.” At that moment, she knew she needed help... and fast.
Passion & Dedication to Care
Donna reached out to the team at Boynton Beach Modern Dentistry in Boynton Beach, Florida. It was just ten minutes before closing but when she called, the response she received was nothing short of extraordinary. Without hesitation, Stephanie Lombardo, DMD and the team told her: “Get in the car and head over immediately.”
Donna, feeling guilty for calling so close to closing time, was met with a response that encapsulated the true essence of PDS Health: “Patient care comes first.”
In less than an hour, Dr. Lombardo and the team had restored her son’s smile, allowing him to go to school the next day with confidence. Their willingness to stay late, prioritize patient care, and go above and beyond exemplifies why PDS Health is more than just a workplace, it’s a community that genuinely cares.
Our Values in Action
Donna’s experience is just one of many examples of how PDS Health has created a culture rooted in service to our patients and powered by teamwork, exceptional standards and accountability in our offices across the country. These values are built-in to our daily operations and can be seen in several ways, including:
1. A Patient-First Mentality – A key tenant of PDS Health’s We Believes is: Patients pay our salaries. This value defines how our clinicians interact with every person who walks through their doors. By prioritizing integrated care and going out of our way to deliver the best outcomes – just like the level of care Donna and her son received – we create patients for life.
2. Problems Are Opportunities in Disguise – We Believe that everyone has the will and skill to succeed. As problems arise, our team members are empowered to use their best judgment to resolve them so that they can take full advantage of the opportunity to improve.
3. Moral & Ethical Decision-Making – We believe that our moral and ethical standards are based on principles given to us by God. Honesty, integrity and character are vital aspects of business that we incorporate into all that we do.
4. The Power of Teamwork – PDS Health believes that we all fail or succeed together. This mentality leads all of us to rise to meet every occasion, to offer support and to fill the gaps so that no one is forced to endure a challenge alone, but learn, grow and improve together.
The PDS Health Difference
Donna’s story is a reflection of the values that define PDS Health. Our clinicians treat every patient like family, going above and beyond to deliver the best outcomes. And our team members in support offices across the country similarly adopt a relentless commitment to excellence, so that we can expand access to the highest quality integrated care in the nation. This is what sets PDS Health apart and will continue to fuel our growth.
